Social Listening Case Study – Learn to be an online conversationalist

A small business seeks to build relationships, beyond their list.

It can be overwhelming to sift through the information available on social media. Data can help you engage community and communicate directly to your ideal client.

Finding an online community where you can engage and communicate to build trust & listen is like searching for a needle in a haystack.

Have you ever had a special evening ruined by a noisy restaurant? The music volume is high, and the people at the table next to you are shouting, forcing everyone at your table to yell and repeat themselves. The atmosphere becomes hectic, and you can’t enjoy the food or the company. Similarly, social listening quiets the noise, enabling you to truly hear and respond to your community.

Problems:

A small-business invested in a onboarding a content creator and purchased social media planning tools. They paid to set up a sales funnel and build an online presence to enroll new clients.

During content calendar conversation, they realized they did not know how to define a successful return on their investments (ROI).

Unfortunately, not knowing their ROI made it difficult to stop because they felt like they wasted money, and difficult to continue because they aren’t confident in how to maximize their investment. They felt stuck and overwhelmed.

Solution:

A Strategic Framework using using data, such as hashtags, keywords and analytics, to validate their community and confirm ideal client alignment.

Additionally, we assessed content and monitoring, including online alert tools, posting strategies and hashtag strategies (i.e. the hashtag sandwich).

Now, they strategize when and where to post content. With this framework, they have a path to the communities that aligned with their services, values & mission.
